The primary task of a clinical laboratory is the production and distribution of test results, with constant attention to accuracy, expert know-how, and fast turnaround time even during peaks of activity. Fully patient-oriented, laboratories must also control their production costs. Many different actors – Hospital Information System, wards and clinicians, instruments, human expertise – interact at all stages of result production, from request creation to result transmission. A laboratory needs to ensure high throughput of sensitive data from different sources in order to build complete and meaningful information for safe medical decision-making.
The laboratory needs to handle data so as to produce both results and management information efficiently. At any time, both must be processed simultaneously whatever the throughput of the laboratory, without compromising performance: running a query must not impact production performance. The combination of both needs requires flexibility and real-time processing.
TD-Synergy enhances the speed and efficiency of the information flow by reducing the need for user interaction with system software. It provides intelligent process control that manages the communication of all information – automatically and in real-time. Statistics and Epidemiology
TD-Synergy provides facilities to extract data from its relational database, enabling users to generate statistical and epidemiological information.
It has been designed to manage clinical data (patients, results...), administrative data (doctors, wards, activities, turnaround time...) and financial data (costs per test, per request...). Built around a user-friendly interface, the statistics menus are very intuitive and can be used by users with only basic computer skills. There are four main functionalities:

Sample storage management
Managing short- and long-term storage of samples is a standard feature of TD-Synergy software.
Thanks to a fully graphical and customizable user interface, samples can be allocated automatically or manually to a storage location. A sample retrieval query function allows easy, rapid sample search by simple barcode label reading.
Based on the description of your organization, the TD-Synergy sample tracking module helps you to search for, find and route your samples from one analyzer to another or to a storage location. Depending on the source laboratory and the urgency, the sample tracking module of TD-Synergy will determine the appropriate optimum route for the samples.
