Through the strategic cooperation of OpenTrust with the company Gemalto (www.gemalto.com), Datamed, representing Opentrust in Greece and Cyprus, offers its customers the opportunity to supply Gemalto smart cards, which are based on the latest developments of technology and environmental materials. Gemalto is a world leader in producing smart cards, with a presence in over more than 40 countries.

It is the most reliable and tested solution in smart cards worldwide. Gemalto has vast experience and demonstrated capacity for mass production and distribution of smart cards, using latest technology processes of production and personalization. Gemalto actively contributes to the standardization process EHIC (European Health Insurance Cards). It is a member of CEN CWA eEHIC and the previous two years had been involved in coordinating with the existing European security institutions (NFZ, GIE SV, KELA, AOK, ZZZS etc.) to meet the challenge for the issuance of CWA at the end of 2008. Gemalto was responsible for writing the technical part of Chapter 7 of CEN CWA eEHIC. Gemalto's production facilities have also passed ISO9001 certification for design, production, marketing and sale of solutions and services based on very small circuits (smart cards) card readers and servers, software and configuration.
